We are searching for the best talent for Manager, Customer Research and Analytics (MCRA), Oncology, located in Toronto, ON.
Reporting to the Associate Director, Insights, Strategy, & Ops as part of the Market Experience Excellence (MEE) team, the Manager, Customer Research and Analytics (MCRA) role is a key partner within our dynamic and forward-thinking organization. Key Responsibilities:
- Shape the strategic direction of therapeutic areas by synthesizing diverse data sources to generate actionable insights and recommendations that align with business partner objectives.
- Demonstrate deep understanding of syndicated data (IQVIA), patient data (i.e. PSP), and customer engagement data by performing accurate, credible analysis that leads to specific recommendations for optimizing go-to-market strategies and enhancing pre-launch planning decisions.
- Lead insights generation plan & budget, design and execute primary and secondary Market Research initiatives to meet business insights needs.
- Responsible for the development of patient-based, line-based and/or demand forecasts for pipeline products, supporting global and local forecasting needs in a timely manner and within budget constraints.
- Develop insight-based market assumptions, analyses and scenario planning.
- Act as an expert regarding pre-launch insights, competitive differentiation for market landscape shaping, customer profiling for new business.
- Collaborate with external vendors and internal business partners to maintain and update patient and sales based forecast models for promoted products.
- Actively cultivate strong, positive, internal partnerships with cross-functional and cross-border business partners, including global insights, competitive intelligence, finance, medical affairs, regulatory, market access, commercial and other key functions.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of dashboards to support key performance indicators, verifying the accuracy of the data and acting as liaison with platform partners in identifying and resolving problems.
- Champion MEE initiatives and lead and influence partners.
- Maintain the highest standards of integrity and remain audit-ready with data governance and market research management.
Qualifications
Education:
- University degree is required, preferably in Business, Analytics or other quantitative discipline. MBA is an asset.
Experience and Skills:
Required:
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in relevant areas is required.
- End-to-end design and execution of primary market research projects is required.
- Pharmaceutical industry experience in Oncology, Immunology, Rare Disease or Neuroscience is required; experience in oncology is strongly preferred.
- Strong data analysis skills including advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and analysis techniques.
- Apply internal consulting skills including consultative listening, problem definition, negotiating tradeoffs, and management of internal client expectations.
- Ability to cultivate productive internal relationships, inspire followership and mobilize people and teams without direct authority.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to distill complex information in a clear, concise and meaningful way.
- Proactively lead and manage multiple partners (internal, global and external vendors), projects, priorities, broker trade-offs, carve through ambiguity and complexity to meet multiple demands.
- Proficiency in MS PowerBI, Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry syndicated datasets such as IQVIA is strongly preferred.
- Experience of reporting and analysis of patient data generated through Patient Service Programs (PSPs) is an asset.
- Python and/or R, language proficiency for advanced analytics and experience with Data IKU or data visualization tools (Qlik, Tableau) is an asset.
- Familiarity with omnichannel data reporting and analytics is an asset.
- Prior marketing experience (Marketing Associate, Product Manager) is an asset.
